1. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

This Privacy Policy explains what Reality Alpha LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("Reality Alpha," "we," "us," or "our"), collects through the website located at www.realityalpha.io (the "Site"), what we do with it, and how you can have it removed. We have written it in plain language rather than the usual fog.

Our Website Terms of Use govern your use of the Site. This Privacy Policy describes our information practices and is not itself a contract.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information we receive from clients in the course of a paid engagement, such as website content, customer data, or account credentials. That information is governed by the applicable written services agreement, including its confidentiality provisions, except where we say otherwise in this Privacy Policy, as we do in Section 9.

2. THE SHORT VERSION

This Site sets no cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking, apart from a strictly necessary security cookie our hosting provider may set as described in Section 5. It runs no analytics, and it contains no trackers or advertising pixels. The personal information we collect is what you type into our inquiry and application forms, plus limited technical information our security tools use at the moment you submit one to stop automated abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, described in Section 4. We do not sell your information, we will not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question, and we do not use what you send us to train artificial intelligence models.

3. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US

We ask for personal information only through the contact form on our home page and the application forms for our Launch, Ascent, and Alpha packages. If we add another form, we will update this Privacy Policy. Depending on which form you use, we receive:

You are not required to provide this information, but we cannot respond to an inquiry without at least your name, email address, and business name.

Please do not send us sensitive personal information through these forms. For this purpose, sensitive personal information includes information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, mental or physical health condition or diagnosis, sex life or sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, precise geolocation, biometric or genetic data, and personal information of a child. We do not ask for it, we have no use for it, and if you send it to us anyway we will delete it from our records promptly after we become aware of it and will not use it for any purpose.

Please also do not send confidential business information before a written agreement is in place. As our Terms of Use explain, information you send before an engagement is formed is not subject to any duty of confidentiality unless we have signed a non-disclosure agreement with you.

4. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you submit a form, your IP address is checked to enforce a rate limit that stops automated systems from flooding us, and our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a verification service that analyzes limited signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser characteristics, to distinguish people from bots. Turnstile does not use these signals to track you across other websites. Apart from the security processing described in this Section, your IP address is not used for any other purpose and is not linked to the contents of your submission in our records. Our contact form also contains a hidden anti-spam field that a real visitor never sees and never fills in.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests to the Site, which include IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, requested pages, and timestamps, and it retains them on its own schedule for security and reliability purposes. Apart from applying the rate limit described above, we do not use any of this information to build a profile of you, to identify you personally, or to follow you across other websites.

5. WHAT THIS SITE DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO

We want to be specific about this, because most privacy policies are vague on the point:

6. DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS AND THIRD-PARTY TRACKING

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal, and some transmit a universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control. These signals are designed to opt you out of the sale of personal information and of targeted advertising. Because this Site does not sell personal information and does not engage in targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for such a signal to opt you out of, and we take no separate action when we receive one. If we ever begin any activity that a universal opt-out signal is designed to reach, we will honor Global Privacy Control and comparable signals as a valid opt-out request, and we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so.

We do not permit any third party to collect personal information through this Site for advertising, analytics, or behavioral profiling purposes, and no advertising or analytics technology is embedded in the Site. The only third parties that process information when you visit are the security and infrastructure providers described in Sections 4 and 10, and we neither use that information, nor permit it to be used on our behalf, to build a profile of you or to track you across other websites.

7. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information you submit to: (a) read and evaluate your inquiry; (b) reply to you and communicate about a possible or existing engagement; (c) prepare proposals and perform services if you engage us; (d) maintain our business records; (e) secure and maintain the Site, including preventing automated abuse; and (f) comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements.

We do not use your information for marketing lists, newsletters, or any unrelated purpose, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question. We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not profile individuals.

8. EMAIL AND TELEPHONE CONTACT

We use your email address to reply to your inquiry and to communicate about a possible or existing engagement. If you choose to include a telephone number in your message, we may call you about that inquiry. We do not currently send marketing email, newsletters, or text messages. If we ever begin to do so, we will send them only to people who have asked to receive them, every message will include a working unsubscribe link and our postal address, and we will honor an unsubscribe request within ten (10) business days. We will not send you marketing text messages without your prior express written consent.

9. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND YOUR INFORMATION

We do not use what you send us to train, fine-tune, or improve any artificial intelligence model. This applies to your form submission, your correspondence with us, and any materials you provide in the course of an engagement.

We use generative artificial intelligence as a tool in our design, imagery, and copywriting work, and we disclose that use on our AI Transparency page at www.realityalpha.io/ai-transparency. We may also use AI-assisted tools when preparing responses to inquiries and drafting materials, in the same way we use other software in the ordinary course of operating the business.

When we use an AI-assisted tool that processes information you have sent us, we select tools whose published terms do not permit the provider to use that information to train or improve its models, we configure those tools to disable training where the provider offers that setting, and we review those terms periodically. We cannot control a provider’s terms, and if we learn that a tool we use no longer meets this standard, we will stop using it for your information or we will update this Privacy Policy. Output produced with the assistance of these tools is reviewed by a person before it is sent to you or published. Artificial intelligence systems can produce output that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and we do not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision affecting you.

10. WHO ELSE SEES YOUR INFORMATION

We keep the number of parties with access deliberately small. The categories of third parties with which we share personal information, each of which is permitted to use it only to perform services for us, are:

Each of these providers may engage its own sub-processors, which process information under that provider’s terms in the course of providing services to it.

Beyond these providers, we share personal information only: (a) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Reality Alpha or others; (b) in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business, in which case the successor will be bound by this Privacy Policy or a materially similar one; or (c) with your direction or consent.

11. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were provided, which generally means as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement plus any period required for our business, tax, and legal records. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on its standard schedule. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, or we remove the details that identify you so that what remains can no longer reasonably be linked to you.

12. HOW WE PROTECT IT

We serve the Site over HTTPS with strict transport security, apply a Content Security Policy and other security headers, rate-limit our forms, and keep credentials in server-side configuration rather than in the Site’s code. Access to stored submissions is limited to the owner of Reality Alpha and to any contractor who needs access to perform services for us and who is bound to keep the information confidential. No method of transmitting information over the internet or storing it electronically is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these measures seriously and review them as the Site changes.

13. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

We extend the following rights to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live, rather than only to people covered by a particular privacy law, and we do not charge for handling a request. You may ask us to: (a) confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a copy of it; (b) correct information that is inaccurate; (c) delete information we hold about you; or (d) stop contacting you.

To make a request, use the contact form on the Site or email us at privacy@realityalpha.io. We will respond within thirty (30) days, and we will tell you if we need longer. Where a law requires us to act sooner, such as the ten (10) business day period for honoring an opt-out from commercial email, we will meet that shorter period. Where a law allows us longer, such as the sixty (60) day period Nevada allows for do-not-sell requests, we will tell you if we need the additional time.

We may take reasonable steps to verify who you are before acting on a request. We may decline a request only where we are required by law to retain the information, where retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or where the information forms part of the records of a completed engagement that we must keep for tax, professional, or legal purposes. We may also decline a request where we cannot reasonably verify that it comes from you, in which case we will tell you what we need. If we rely on any of these grounds, we will tell you which one. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If we deny a request, we will tell you why in writing. You may appeal within sixty (60) days by replying to our response or by writing to the address above with the word "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will decide your appeal and respond in writing, with our reasons, within forty-five (45) days of receiving it. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may submit a complaint to the Attorney General of your state. New Jersey residents may do so through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

Nevada residents. Nevada law permits consumers to direct an operator not to sell certain covered information about them. We do not sell covered information. Our designated request address for this purpose is the email address given earlier in this Section 13.

14. CHILDREN

This Site offers services to businesses and is not directed to children. We do not ask any visitor for age information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen (16) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at the address given in Section 13 and we will delete it promptly.

15. IF THERE IS A SECURITY BREACH

If we determine that a breach of security has compromised personal information we hold about you, we will notify you in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with the legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the integrity of our systems. As New Jersey law requires, we will first report the breach to the Division of State Police in the Department of Law and Public Safety, and we will delay notice to you if law enforcement determines that notice would impede a criminal investigation. We will also make any notification to regulators, consumer reporting agencies, or other authorities required by the law of your state of residence.

16. OTHER SITES

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any website we link to. Those sites collect information under their own policies, which we encourage you to review, and we are not responsible for their practices.

17. WHERE YOUR INFORMATION IS PROCESSED

We operate from the United States and are directing this Site to users in the United States. Most of the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. As noted in Section 10, our customer relationship management provider is based outside the United States, and information stored with that provider may be processed outside the United States under standard contractual clauses and comparable safeguards. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and, as to information held in our customer relationship management system, in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Privacy laws in those places may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

18. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updated version will be posted on the Site with a revised "Last Updated" date before it takes effect, and changes apply prospectively only. We will not use personal information you have already provided in a way that is materially different from the Privacy Policy in effect when we collected it unless we first obtain your consent. If we make a material change to how we handle information you have already given us, we will notify you directly at the email address you provided.
